Goetz vonder Krautlache, Court Barony
Calligraphy and illumination by Lord Haakon. I got inspiration for this scroll from the Pseudo-Aristotle: 'De Secretis Secretorum', an piece where Aristotle and King Alexander are exchanging letters. Original is dated to 1326-1327, and it originates from London, England. I was trying to find sources for German scrolls fit to Baron Goetz' s period - but I had to use something made in England instead. As he is an FatGuy, I thought of having such flambouyant pose of him in front of beerbarrel, clad in full armour more than appropriate. " |
